3 days ago, one of my subscribers chatted me up on WhatsApp and the following conversation ensued:
Subscriber: Good afternoon Mr. Victor
Me: Good afternoon, how are you?
Subscriber: Fine Sir! I am one of your subscribers and I want to thank you for the helpful tips you share on your blog.
Me; Thanks, how can I help you today?
Subscriber: I saw your stuff on Fiverr, but I also need to know how I can make at least N3,000 a week.
Me: What have you done with what you learned on Fiverr?
Subscriber: I’m having issues with my account, I just need something I can do that will give me N3,000 a week.
Me:Okay, I will fix that.
This blog post is the after effect of the conversation that I had with my subscriber. I should have updated it before now but I have been swamped with a lot of things. So I’m updating today inline with my purpose in life to help as many people as possible become better in life ( spiritually, financially, socially and otherwise)
So enough of the stories, in today’s article I will teach you how to make at least one sale per day that can translate to N3000 – N5,000 depending on the product you are selling and the profit margin. If your financial goals is like my subscriber above who only needs N3,000 a week then kudos to you! For this project to work, you need the following:
1. Android or Blackberry Phone With OLX Application
2. A Product To Sell
3. At Least N1,000 Investment
You can make at least N5000 or more in one day but it totally depends on you. If you follow the steps I will enumerate below then you should be able to make at least 1 sale in a day. You need an Android or BlackBerry phone to make this work.
With This Strategy, You Can Make At Least One Sale Per Day!
Step 1: Go to Google Play Store and download OLX application. After you download the application, create an account ( It’s a simple process) just follow the instructions.
Step 2: Click on ” Sell Your Item”, then enter the required information for the product that you are selling ( I’d assume you have a product already). Make sure you use a catchy headline and detailed description. Also use a clear picture of the product you want to sell. You can take a photograph of the product with your phone.
Step 3: Pay OLX N1,000 for ” Top Ads”. When you pay for a top Ad on OLX, your product listing is placed on the top of the category where the product is listed. For example, if you create a listing in the ” Fashion Category” , whenever a visitor navigates to that category on the OLX website, he sees your Ads on top ( this gives you more exposure). N1,000 is the least you can pay for top ads and it lasts for 24 hours.
Let’s Take a Look At One Of The Campaigns I Tested On The 17th October Which Ran Till 18th:
As you can see from the image above, the listing has over 774 views and 3 messages in 24 hours. The result of that Ad was 2 sales at N5,000 profit each. See WhatsApp conversations with a buyer below:
Here’s Another Product…
How much you make depends on the profit margin you set on your product and of course you subtract the N1,000 investment you paid for the Ad to run for 24 hours. So if my total profit was N10,000 on both products, if i subtract N1,000 then I have N9,000. In order to make this work, you need a product to sell. Like I said in one of my blog posts, you can list a product even without purchasing it!
You only need to purchase it off your supplier when there is a request ( that’s if you are not sure the product will sell and don’t want to tie your money down). There are lots of stuffs that you can sell on OLX to make money. In the example I gave above, the two products are wedding ring and a cream for growing hair on bald region.
About the hair grower cream, I had sold it to someone earlier on as a test and when she called me this past Sunday, she kept thanking me again and again… ( If you are interested in reselling this product, send an email to email@example.com). If you also need the wedding rings, send an email too and I will tell you how to go about it.
Let me give you a tip… December is fast approaching and people would want to change their cars. Don’t be fooled about the economy, people are actually spending money on cars! A friend of mine who imports from Cotonou just sold of a 2016 Mercedes for about N38 million… ( I hope I got the figure right!)
So here’s what you can do:
- Look for a car dealer around your area
- Ask for the prices of the cars and compare with what others are selling
- Mark up the price if the dealer is offering a reasonable price ( tell him you can get a buyer)
- You can negotiate for him to agree on how much he would give you per sale.
- Just be smart about it!
After you have gotten all that sorted out, take clear pictures of the cars and post on OLX. You can look at the Auto section to observe how others are posting their own Ads and model yours off theirs. You can then pay for OLX top Ads to place your Ad on the top of the category for Autos.
You can try this with basically any product. Just make sure the profit margin is reasonable and also factor in the cost of delivery. I used Efritin for Lagos deliveries and they are efficient. They charge about N650 for pick up and delivery. So do the mathematics before you post the price of the product.
